Forestry
The Czech publisher Pink Troubadour celebrated
a strong debut at Europe’s largest board game
expo, Spiel Essen 2024 in Germany. Their game
Galileo Galilei, where players act as astronomers
exploring the night sky, quickly sold out.
Pink Troubadour is now focusing on exciting new
projects, especially the highly anticipated game
Forestry by Michal Peichl. Forestry underscores
the vital role of trees, showcasing their diverse uses,
environmental impact, and the unique benefits
of wood. In the game, players manage a forest by
harvesting timber, planting trees, and fulfilling
contracts, all while striving to balance resource use
with sustainable practices.
Forestry is a medium-weight Euro game for 1 to 4 players,
with a playtime of about 70–120 minutes. It features
a solo mode created by Tomáš Holek and artwork by Michal
Řezníček.
The game includes insights from foresters at the
Czech University of Agriculture, offering expert knowledge
alongside the mechanics and interesting facts on the Order
cards.
“Our goal is to show the potential of wood products and the
importance of forest care to ensure their continued health
and usability,” says Michal Peichl. Forestry will be available
at Spiel Essen 2025.
